I would like to wish very thankful for all KRMJ(Kelab Malaysia Rakyat Jubail) committee members for organizing our Eid celebrating at Hj Ramli House.
Usually for a Muslims we will sacrifices goat or cow for celebrating our Eid. It is very deeply meaningful to me when I was selected from KRMJ members as one of the event organizer.
At 6.30 a.m I and KKEM members with Hj Ramli(our supervisor) go to goat farm to take our goat which is was booked by Hj Ramli a day before this program. We took eight goat.
Nice Goat Farm |
In Saudi goat booking system will show to us the number that spray to goat body. It is lightly different with Malaysia, when booking system we can immediately take the goats or farmers will punch the number to goat ear.
As our plan, we will sent eight goat to slaughter house, but unfortunately there are to many people waiting their turn to get the service.
Hj Ramli try to deal with farmers to get the best price for slaughter service |
Before this, Hj Ramli tell me, we are not facing problem when waiting our turn. There is not to much people waiting to get their service last year. But Hj Ramli tell me, we was celebrated for forth Eid.
But this year, we celebrate our Eid for second Eid. So thats why too much people waiting their turn to get the slaughter service.
We take half hour to decide whether we want to sent the goat to slaughter house or we just do by our self in Hj Ramli house.
One of the farmers come to us and offer to give their service but he offer is SAR100 for each goat. Hj Ramli just ignoring this person because he had the experience deal with slaughter house guys.
Slaughter House. Too much goat and we take time waiting our turn. |
The farmers try to urged Hj Ramli and tell him his offer is very cheap than slaughter house price. What Hj Ramli said, is very expensive, and the farmes said slaughter house give SAR 150 for each goat.
On that time I'm try to become a cool person acting like Hj Ramli only says the price still expensive and I try to negotite with the farmers to give the discount. He agreed with me and just give SAR 600 for eight goats for the last price.
But adding more SAR 300 for transportation to sent the goat at their place. Total cost around SAR 900 for eight goats only for slaughter service.
Actually I'm just acting calm and cool, but in my soul I just say "why we cannot agree with the farmers guys, just give them money because we are running time and we cannot delay our program only for the slaughter issue."
Finally Hj Ramli makes the decision to wait our turn at the slaughter house to get the service even we will take a long time. After half our we wait to get the service, Hj Ramli says we should bring two goat and do by our self, because if we waiting all eight goat to get the service may be until 10.am still not finish, but our program supposedly will start around 8.00 a.m.
After small discussion with Hj Ramli and other members, we will decide to bring two goat and cutting by organizer members and remaining we will sent to slaughter house to make it.
It appears that Hj Ramli decision is correct when we can start our program as per planning. Remaining goat finished slaughter around 11.am.
What the most important lesson I learn from Hj in car, Hj said this is responsibilities, people just give me around SAR 600, so we should manage it carefully. If I accept for the farmers price, so we are consider as irresponsible.
I'm just realize that's, when facing any problem we should cool and calm, don't easy jump to conclusion especially in management skills. Hj indirectly teach me how to become responsible person even we just manage small money.
Even there is just small money but we will asking by Allah for our responsible give by people to us, and it teach me also to improve my job become very scrutiny when I become some body soon.
But I'm still upset for a farmers that tell us his price very cheap than slaughter house, but than we just only get SAR 30 compare from him SAR 100. We willing to cheat any person to get money, this is law of life.
Thank You Hj Ramli because your are great teacher.
